As an Intermediate Staff Accountant-Enterprise, you will have the opportunity to coach and develop less experienced team members. You are required to implement tax engagements while meeting the Firm’s high-quality standards and provide technical expertise as an internal resource to staff who need support on their client files or specific questions from their clients.
As a result, you must have a university degree in accounting and working towards your CPA.
You need to have worked through complete tax files in a public accounting firm setting and have demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Income Tax, and have a thorough understanding of GAAP and ASPE.
This technical knowledge typically comes with 2-3 years of working experience.
We believe in using technology to its fullest, so being proficient with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Proficient with Tax prep Suite, and CaseWare is super important.

You will be responsible for completing:
All Compilation Engagement documents to be issued to the client, including working papers, financial statements, planning documents, notes and schedules.
A compliance review of prepared corporate and personal tax returns
A compliance review of prepared income tax slips and filings, including T4’s and T5’s
You will prepare:
Tax plans and compliance-related reports
Client correspondence, including reports, discussion of technical issues and recommendations
You are expected to:
Promptly identify significant issues for discussion with the Manager and/or Partner
Bring an inquisitive mindset and pose credible solutions to issues
Ensure that all queries and outstanding points have been cleared satisfactorily
Critically review your work before submitting it to your Manager
Prepares interim invoices, as required
You will support other team members by:
Coaching and supporting their development with candid and respectful feedback
